HOPI - TEWA POT WITH DECORATION - DEMO

The Hopi-Tewa are a Tewa Pueblo group residing in the eastern part of the Hopi Reservation on The First Mesa in Northeastern Arizona. My wife and I went there several years ago and spent 2 nights on the First Mesa. This adventure had to be one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had. Some of the people who live on the First & Second Mesas have never left the Mesa - a few have left as children to go to the Indian School in Phoenix and then returned to stay.  I would love to go back there and live on the Mesa for one full year and paint every day. 

The following photos will show the process I used in the creation of this painting:
16 x 20 on canvas panel using Chroma Interactive Acrylics wet into wet with lots of color blending.

Great post. As you know I love your renditions of the Native American art on the pottery. I like your animation at the top of your blog as well.
